A leading business to business distributor, my client serves more than 50,000 customers UK wide. They are now looking for a driven and tenacious Regional HR Business Advisor to join their Northern team to work on strategic and tactical HR issues providing proactive support across 3 key sites. This is a challenging, exciting and autonomous and opportunity to have real impact. The ideal candidate needs to be able to drive people engagement and feel comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders. The role reports to a Head of HR and is a key member of the regional senior leadership team.
Key Accountabilities:
* Support and coach line managers to effectively manage all aspects of business as usual people issues, including recruitment & selection, disciplinary & grievance, performance and attendance management
* Develop people engagement strategies
* Train and support managers to effectively deal with complex employee relations cases
* Act as a Business Partner, providing first class HR expertise, advice and guidance to internal and external contacts on HR policies
* Design, deliver and coordinate Learning and Development courses and HR related events to update management practice within the region of responsibility
* Supervise and support a HR Services Assistant
* Provide management information on a monthly basis as required through the effective use and interrogation of company systems
Key Skills & Experience:
* Part/Grad CIPD (or equivalent), with post qualification generalist experience
* Strong organisational capability with the ability to meet deadlines and manage large volumes of work
* Customer driven with a collaborative and hands-on approach and able to identify pragmatic, business focused solutions whilst thinking through the wider implications of actions
* IT literate - efficient and effective user of Microsoft Office with the ability to produce accurate documentation, spreadsheets and presentations
* Experience of using HR database systems and reporting functions and ability to review statistical data and interpret to provide management information
* Strong commercial awareness
* Experience of working with a dispersed customer base
* Full current driving licence and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
